about our council

Our Knights of Columbus Council 14560 was formed in April of 2008 by a group of men who are parishioners of our local Catholic churches- St. Joseph’s in Wurtsboro, and Our Lady of the Assumption in Bloomingburg. Inspired by the desire to better themselves in the Eyes of God, they sought a way to give back to their community, and help their fellow man- hence, they became active members in the Knights of Columbus Organization.

Our Council's mission, first and foremost, is to perform "works of charity" through contributions of our member's time and efforts, as well as give financial aid to those in need. Second, is to support our Church and our Community, while encouraging Christian Fellowship and other teachings of the Bible, through our participation in various Parish functions, Community activities, and Council events conducted throughout the year. All the while, remembering... everything we do is for the glorification of God, the Father, through His Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord.
